Meet our growing team that's driving environmental impact

For the team at Wave Consulting, the key to a fulfilling and enjoyable work environment lies in the people we surround ourselves with. With a passion for making a positive impact, we are dedicated to driving positive change in the world. Our small team is expanding, and we're thrilled to introduce some new faces and share exciting developments in our journey towards environmental sustainability.

Welcome Laura Cacho: Enabling climate action and environmental strategy

We are delighted to welcome Laura Cacho, hailing all the way from Seattle, to our team. With an impressive background in consulting, utilities, stormwater, climate strategy and facilitation, Laura's expertise enriches our efforts in addressing climate change.

Laura's fascination with how individuals and organisations embrace environmental goals and transform practices complements her background in environmental sciences and urban planning. She further enhances her expertise through training in economics, organisational change management, and facilitation. Laura enjoys leading engagement processes and designing decision frameworks, creating and implementing strategies that drive the adoption of environmental sustainability from concept to reality.

Alba's remarkable contributions are propelling renewable energy and water projects

We are proud to announce that Alba has become a full-time graduate engineer now at Wave. She is incredibly quick with tools such as CAD, MUSIC, Excel, and GIS, among others, which has been instrumental in various successful projects.

Alba's expertise has been leveraged in modelling battery systems in Tasmania, designing greywater filters in the Snowy Mountains and Falls Creek, creating integrated water plans for community farms and local governments, and crafting CAD designs for passively watered trees.

Nurturing innovative minds through our partnership with Monash University’s Industry Innovation Program

Through our Industry Innovation Program partnership with the Monash Smart Manufacturing Hub, we are excited to have Chris and Will, two talented interns from Monash University, join our team.

These mechanical engineering students have already begun working on groundbreaking water treatment ideas for the residential sector. Drawing on their insights from robotics studies, they are set to contribute fresh perspectives to our projects. Stay tuned as we reveal their innovative solutions in the near future.

Fond farewell to Zac

As we celebrate our growing team, we also bid farewell to Zac, who accepted a position at the Bureau of Meteorology's water group. We're sure he will thrive there and learn lots. We are proud of his contributions at Wave, especially during the challenging COVID years. It's important to us that we ensure we finish well as a team and support our people in the next chapter of their professional lives.

Together, we look forward to a greener and brighter future

We believe that collective efforts and a passion for environmental change drive us towards a sustainable future. With our growing team and innovative partnerships, we are committed to making a positive impact in addressing climate change and fostering environmental sustainability. We look forward to working with you in this space!
